AN ACT CONCERNING A BID FOR THE OPERATION OF THE NEW HAVEN RAIL LINE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the Department of Transportation shall put out to bid the operation of the New Haven rail line, to give Connecticut a greater say in the operations of this busiest-in-the-nation passenger railroad system and in an effort to bring more accountability and a higher quality of service and safety in its management and operations.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide Connecticut Transit riders with better service on Metro North.
