AN ACT CONCERNING THE FEE FOR THE AMERICAN FLAG SYMBOL ON VETERANS' DRIVER'S LICENSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that no fee be charged at any time to veterans who request that the American flag symbol be added to their driver's license.
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage veterans to apply for the special designation on their driver's license and to provide them with this deserved recognition of their veteran status for free at any time, not just upon license renewal.
