AN ACT CONCERNING THE PROVISION OF SEATS ON SCHOOL BUSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-220 of the general statutes be amended to repeal the requirement that a local or regional board of education provide a seat on a school bus for every student in the school district and replace it with a requirement that such board of education shall be required to provide seats on a school bus for seventy-five per cent of the total student population of the school district.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce the cost of student transportation.
