AN ACT REQUIRING COMPANIES TO NOTIFY CONSUMERS OF UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO COMPUTER DATA.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require a company to notify consumers when unauthorized access to data in the company's computer system has occurred.
Statement of Purpose:
To give notice to consumers of potentially harmful unauthorized access of computer data.
