AN ACT PROHIBITING GAS STATIONS FROM CHARGING AN ADDITIONAL FEE OR HIGHER PRICE PER GALLON FOR USE OF A CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit retail sellers of gasoline from charging an additional fee or higher price per gallon for use of a credit or debit card.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide equal treatment of retail purchasers of gasoline.
