AN ACT CONCERNING THE MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT FUND.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to create a Tier II class in the Municipal Employees' Retirement Fund similar to the class distinction currently utilized in the state employee retirement system.
Statement of Purpose:
To alleviate municipal pension burdens by creating a new benefit class for recent municipal hires.
