AN ACT CONCERNING VOTES FOR CROSS-ENDORSED CANDIDATES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 9-242 of the general statutes be amended to require that, in the event a candidate is cross endorsed for a single office and an elector casts more than one vote for such candidate on a ballot, such ballot shall be void and any voting tabulator approved by the Secretary of the State shall not accept such ballot.

Statement of Purpose: 

To eliminate overvoting.
