AN ACT MOVING THE STATE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY TO AN EARLIER DATE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 9-464 of the general statutes be amended to move the state Republican presidential preference primary from the last Tuesday in April to the first Thursday in March of each year in which the President of the United States is to be elected.
Statement of Purpose:
To hold the state Republican presidential preference primary on the first Thursday in March instead of the last Tuesday in April.
