AN ACT PROVIDING FOR AN EARLIER STATE PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 9-464 of the general statutes be amended to move the presidential preference primary from the last Tuesday in April to the first Tuesday in March of each year in which the President of the United States is to be elected.
Statement of Purpose:
To hold the state presidential preference primary on the first Tuesday in March instead of the last Tuesday in April.
