AN ACT CLARIFYING THE DEFINITION OF STATE CONTRACTOR UNDER THE CAMPAIGN FINANCE LAWS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 9-612 of the general statutes be amended to clarify that a person who has a lease with the state shall not be considered a state contractor for purposes of campaign finance restrictions and shall not be included on the State Election Enforcement Commission's list of state contractors.
Statement of Purpose:
To remove persons who have a lease with the state from the state contractor list.
