AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE RECALL OF REGISTRARS OF VOTERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to permit a municipality to authorize a special election for purposes of recalling an elected registrar of voters upon the filing, with the clerk of such municipality, of a petition signed by not less than five per cent of the electors enrolled in the same party as such registrar of voters.

Statement of Purpose: 

To allow for recall of ineffective registrars of voters.
