AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR A STRATFORD CULTURAL ARTS CENTER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate three million dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the Department of Economic and Community Development for the purpose of providing a grant-in-aid to the town of Stratford for the creation of a Stratford cultural arts center incorporating the Booth Property, Perry House, William Samuel Johnson House, Judson House and other significant town venues that have the potential to attract visitors and support the historic legacy of William Samuel Johnson.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide funds for a cultural arts center in the town of Stratford.
