AN ACT CONCERNING REGISTRATION AT THE TIME OF RELEASE AS A SEXUAL OFFENDER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 969 of the general statutes be amended to require that the time period that a person is supposed to maintain and update his or her registration as a sex offender begins when such person is released from custody of the Department of Correction.
Statement of Purpose:
To require proper registration of sex offenders at the time of release.
