AN ACT EXPANDING ELIGIBILITY FOR MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR'S LICENSE OR IDENTITY CARD REFLECTING THE HOLDER'S STATUS AS A VETERAN.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

To amend section 14-36h of the general statutes to allow a veteran having served at least one day in the armed forces to have his or her status as a veteran contained on his or her motor vehicle operator's license or identity card.

Statement of Purpose: 

To ensure that all veterans, even those having served less than ninety days in combat, may have their status as a veteran listed on their driver's license or identity card.
