AN ACT PROHIBITING PUBLICATION BY CANDIDATES OF CERTAIN COMPLAINTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit any political committee, party committee, candidate committee, candidate participating in the Citizens' Election Program or individual coordinating with such committee or candidate from disclosing any information regarding any complaint against a candidate appearing on the ballot filed with the State Elections Enforcement Commission or the Office of State Ethics during the one hundred twenty days prior to any primary or regular election.

Statement of Purpose: 

To preserve the integrity of elections and ethics enforcement during campaigns.
