| 28 | 28 | Section 1. Section 51-277 of the general statutes is amended by adding subsection (e) as follows (Effective October 1, 2015): | |

| 30 | 30 | (NEW) (e) The Chief State's Attorney shall supervise the division, including the state's attorney for each judicial district. | |

| 32 | 32 | Sec. 2. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2015) Not later than March first of each year, the state's attorney for each judicial district and each state's attorney that assists the Chief State's Attorney shall submit a written report to the Chief State's Attorney. Such report shall include (1) any recommendations for (A) a statutory change, or (B) a budget proposal that may assist the Division of Criminal Justice's ability to investigate and prosecute criminal matters, and (2) any merit and performance rating prepared pursuant to section 51-280 of the general statutes by such state's attorney during the previous calendar year. | |
