7070 AN ACT CONCERNING STATE EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT AND HEALTH CARE BENEFITS.

7272 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

7474 That the general statutes be amended to, effective immediately for all state employees and officials exempt from classified service and applicable to employees included in any collective bargaining agreement negotiated or renewed after the passage of this act: (1) Transition such employees and officials to a defined contribution plan; (2) eliminate longevity pay for such employees and officials; (3) amend health care and prescription drug benefits for such employees and officials to be equal to the average benefits provided in the private sector; and (4) increase the prescription drug copay for such employees and officials from five dollars to ten dollars.
