AN ACT REDUCING THE PERSONAL INCOME TAX RATE FOR CERTAIN PERSONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 12 of the general statutes be amended to reduce the personal income tax rate by .1 per cent each year for five years for (1) single filers whose income is less than $50,000, and (2) joint filers whose income is less than $100,000.

Statement of Purpose: 

To phase in an income tax reduction for single filers whose income is less than $50,000 and joint filers whose income is less than $100,000.
