2424 AN ACT REQUIRING INSTRUCTIONS FOR DIALING 9-1-1 ON OR ADJACENT TO CERTAIN MULTILINE TELEPHONES.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

(NEW) (Effective July 1, 2016) Any business firm, as defined in section 12-631 of the general statutes, or state agency, as defined in section 1-79 of the general statutes, that uses a multiline telephone system that cannot directly access the enhanced 9-1-1 service by dialing or otherwise accessing the three digits "9-1-1" shall prominently display instructions on how to access the enhanced 9-1-1 service on or adjacent to each telephone connected to such multiline telephone system.
