2424 AN ACT CONCERNING HOUSING FOR VETERANS AND ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY PERSONNEL.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 Section 1. (Effective October 1, 2016) The Commissioner of Housing, in consultation with the Commissioner of Veterans' Affairs, shall (1) conduct a study to identify various programs and services offered through state agencies dedicated to assisting the veteran and active duty military populations in this state in finding and securing safe and affordable housing options, and (2) make recommendations to any such agency concerning allocation of any available resources of such agency. The commissioners shall report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, the findings of the study described in subdivision (1) of this section to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to housing and veterans' and military affairs on or before January 1, 2017.
