(Effective July 1, 2016) Notwithstanding the provisions of subdivision (1) of subsection (b) of section 10-264l of the general statutes, the Commissioner of Education shall authorize the town of Windham to (1) establish, in partnership with Eastern Connecticut State University, a dual language interdistrict magnet school that offers English and Spanish instruction to students in grades preschool to eight, inclusive, and (2) convert Windham High School to a STEM interdistrict magnet school. | |
