AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR SMOKING CESSATION AND PREVENTION PROGRAMS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 4-28f of the general statutes be amended to require funds from the Tobacco and Health Trust Fund be used for smoking cessation and prevention programs and that the state budget be amended for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017, to appropriate funds for such purpose equal to the amount provided from said trust fund.

Statement of Purpose: 

To provide funding for smoking cessation and prevention programs.
