AN ACT CONCERNING A REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE PROVISION OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CARE SERVICES TO INMATES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) Not later than July 1, 2016, the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management shall issue a request for qualifications for the provision of health care services and behavioral health care services to inmates of the Department of Correction. Not later than January 15, 2017, the secretary shall report to the General Assembly a summary of the results of such request, including, but not limited to, the number of entities that submitted their qualifications in response to such request and the number of such entities the secretary determines are qualified to provide such services. If the secretary determines more than one entity is so qualified, the secretary shall, not later than April 15, 2017, issue a request for proposals from such entities for the provision of such services.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
