2828 Section 1. Section 17b-105a of the general statutes is amended by adding subsection (d) as follows (Effective from passage):

3030 (NEW) (d) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a) of this section, on and after the effective date of this section, the Commissioner of Social Services shall require all able-bodied adults without dependents to meet federal work requirements to receive supplemental nutrition assistance program benefits, unless they qualify for an exemption pursuant to 7 USC 273.
