2424 AN ACT CONCERNING NOTIFICATION TO VICTIM SUPPORT GROUPS OF THE NAMES OF VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

(NEW) (Effective October 1, 2016) Notwithstanding any provision of the general statutes concerning the confidentiality of the identity of a victim of domestic violence, a municipal police department may forward the names of victims of domestic violence to domestic violence victim support groups approved by the Judicial Department or which are under contract with a state agency or the municipality for the provision of victim support services.
