AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TAX CREDIT FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO GRADUATE FROM INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE STATE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to establish a tax credit against the personal income tax, for a limited period of time and based on the category of degree earned, for individuals who graduate from any institution of higher education in the state.

Statement of Purpose: 

To encourage individuals who attend institutions of higher education in the state to remain in the state after graduation from such institution.
