AN ACT CONCERNING USE OF PUBLIC FUNDS FOR POLITICAL ADVERTISING.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 9-621 of the general statutes be amended to require any candidate receiving a grant from the Citizens' Election Fund, and who uses any portion of such grant for any political communication, to disclose that such communication was paid for, in part, by public funds.

Statement of Purpose: 

To require candidates participating in the Citizens' Election Program to disclose when political communications are paid for, in part, by funds received from the program.
