AN ACT CONCERNING THE PAYMENT OF WAGES, SALARY OR OTHER COMPENSATION BY DIRECT DEPOSIT OR PAYROLL CARDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 31-71b of the general statutes be amended to allow employers to require employees to accept the payment of wages, salary or other compensation by direct deposit or payroll cards.
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage the use of direct deposit and payroll cards by employers.
