AN ACT ESTABLISHING THE "HARTFORD WHALERS" COMMEMORATIVE NUMBER PLATE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 246 of the general statutes be amended to provide that the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles shall issue "Hartford Whalers" commemorative number plates and that a fee shall be charged for the issuance of such number plates that shall be in addition to the regular fee or fees prescribed for the registration of a motor vehicle and that shall be used to pay the administrative cost of issuing such number plates and distributed to one or more charitable organizations.
Statement of Purpose:
To commemorate the Hartford Whalers and support charitable organizations.
