AN ACT EXEMPTING CERTAIN PRODUCTS PURCHASED BY SCHOOLS OR SCHOOL-AFFILIATED ORGANIZATIONS FROM THE SALES TAX.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 219 of the general statutes be amended to exempt from the sales tax products that are (1) purchased by a school or a school-affiliated organization for the purpose of fundraising for such school or for school-related activities, and (2) sold to consumers for under fifty dollars.
Statement of Purpose:
To exempt from the sales tax products that are (1) purchased by a school or a school-affiliated organization for the purpose of fundraising for such school or for school-related activities, and (2) sold to consumers for under fifty dollars.
