AN ACT CONCERNING PARTY COMMITTEES AND CANDIDATES PARTICIPATING IN THE CITIZENS' ELECTION PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit any contribution or contributions in excess of two hundred fifty dollars, in the aggregate, to any party committee by any participating candidate under the Citizens' Election Program.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent candidates receiving Citizens' Election Program grants from making large contributions to party committees that may subsequently make organization expenditures for such candidates' benefit.
