2424 AN ACT CONCERNING VACANCIES IN THE OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 That section 9-192 of the general statutes be amended to provide that in case of death, removal or resignation of a registrar of voters (1) any deputy registrar of voters shall not immediately assume the office of the registrar, and (2) the town committee of the same political party as such registrar of voters shall appoint a successor to the office of the registrar not later than fourteen days after such death, removal or resignation.
