2424 AN ACT CONCERNING STUDENT LEARNING, ACHIEVEMENT AND OPPORTUNITIES.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to (1) expand access to high quality preschool, (2) establish full day kindergarten opportunities, (3) establish tutoring opportunities and other strategies to ensure literacy and numeracy proficiency by the end of grade three, (4) require the Department of Education to develop and disseminate school climate surveys for use by public schools, and (5) expand locally-developed school transformation models to reform low-performing schools, including, but not limited to, community schools.
