AN ACT REQUIRING PAINT STEWARDSHIP FEES TO BE PAID TO THE MUNICIPALITY WHERE PAINT IS RECYCLED.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require paint stewardship fees to be paid to the municipality where the paint is recycled and to require such funds to be held in a separate municipal paint recycling account to cover the costs of administering such municipality's paint recycling program.
Statement of Purpose:
To keep the recycling of paint locally based and provide sufficient funds to towns to administer such recycling programs.
