AN ACT CONCERNING AN AGREEMENT AMONG THE STATES TO PREVENT THE POACHING OF BUSINESSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to authorize the state to enter into a compact with other states that precludes member states from offering economic incentives to businesses located within the geographic boundaries of other member states in order to entice such businesses to relocate.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent the poaching of businesses through the use of large economic incentives.
