AN ACT CONCERNING DRUG TESTING OF SEASONAL EMPLOYEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 31-51t of the general statutes be amended to redefine "employee" and "prospective employee" to apply to an individual being rehired or applying to be rehired by an employer within six months, rather than twelve months, of terminating his or her former employment with the employer.
Statement of Purpose:
To promote safety in the workplace by allowing seasonal employers to drug test seasonal employees that are rehired each year.
