AN ACT CONCERNING DISCLOSURE OF INSTALLATION FEES BY CABLE COMPANIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 289 of the general statutes be amended to require cable companies to disclose installation fees, including over the phone and on such companies' web sites, to residential and business customers and potential customers prior to such companies' beginning any transaction that involves installation fees or obtaining any payment or customer personal information.
Statement of Purpose:
To require cable companies to disclose installation fees.
