AN ACT CONCERNING PERFORMANCE-BASED BUDGETING FOR STATE AGENCIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require the Office of Policy and Management to establish a program to measure the performance of each state agency with appropriations of five hundred thousand dollars or more, and to provide budgetary incentives to those agencies that meet or exceed expectations. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To provide performance-based budgeting for state agencies similar to the model used in the state of Florida.
