AN ACT CONCERNING AVAILABILITY OF THE BUDGET ACT PRIOR TO A VOTE BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit either house of the General Assembly from voting on a state budget act unless such act has been on the desks of the members or made available electronically to the members in final form for not less than seventy-two hours prior to such vote.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide transparency in the budget process.
