AN ACT PROHIBITING PERSONS CONVICTED OF ANIMAL CRUELTY FROM BUYING, SELLING OR TRANSFERRING ANIMALS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to prohibit any person convicted of animal cruelty from engaging in the buying, selling or transfer of any animal, regardless of whether such transaction involves remuneration. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To prevent persons convicted of animal cruelty from being allowed to be involved in the pet business.
