AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY OF THE TAXES IMPOSED ON BUSINESSES ORGANIZED AS PASS-THROUGH ENTITIES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the Commissioner of Revenue Services shall conduct a study to compare and analyze the taxes imposed by the state on businesses organized as pass-through entities with the taxation of such businesses in other states, and to make recommendations to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to finance, revenue and bonding for changes to the state's tax code to provide tax equity for such businesses. Statement of Purpose: To require the Commissioner of Revenue Services to compare and analyze the taxes imposed by the state on businesses organized as pass-through entities with the taxation of such businesses in other states and to make recommendations for changes to the state's tax code.
