AN ACT CAPPING THE PROPERTY TAX ON RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY FOR HOMEOWNERS SIXTY-FIVE YEARS OF AGE OR OVER.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 12 of the general statutes be amended to cap the property tax on residential property for homeowners who are sixty-five years of age or over.

Statement of Purpose: 

To alleviate the property tax burden on seniors.
