2424 AN ACT CONCERNING FALSE OR MISLEADING ADVERTISING IN THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

28-Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2017) Any person who advertises the price of alcoholic liquor as being other than that permitted under section 30-68m of the general statutes shall have engaged in an unfair or deceptive act or practice in the conduct of trade or commerce in violation of section 42-110b of the general statutes and shall be fined twenty-five thousand dollars per day for each day of such violation.

28+That the general statutes be amended to provide that any person who engages in false or misleading advertising in the sale of alcoholic liquor, including the sale of alcoholic liquor in violation of minimum bottle price provisions, shall have committed a per se violation of section 42-110b of the general statutes and shall be subject to all applicable fines, penalties and provisions of chapter 735a of the general statutes, as well as an additional mandatory twenty-five-thousand-dollar fine for each day of publication of such false or misleading advertising.
