AN ACT CONCERNING CERTAIN REGISTRARS OF VOTERS AND DEPUTY REGISTRARS OF VOTERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to require that any registrar of voters or deputy registrar of voters relinquish access to the office space and to the municipality's registry and enrollment lists in the event such registrar of voters or deputy registrar of voters seeks nomination or election to an office other than registrar of voters.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure registrars and deputy registrars of voters running for other offices do not have greater access to voter data than opposing candidates for such offices.
