AN ACT IMPLEMENTING RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CONNECTICUT INSTITUTE FOR THE 21ST CENTURY AND THE COMMISSION ON ENHANCING AGENCY OUTCOMES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

To amend the general statutes to implement certain budget efficiency recommendations of the Connecticut Institute for the 21st Century concerning long-term care, correction, parole and probation systems, public employee pension systems, local governments, nonprofit delivery of services, technology and state agencies and to implement any remaining recommendations of the Commission on Enhancing Agency Outcomes that have not previously been incorporated into the state budget.

Statement of Purpose: 

To achieve budget savings estimated at one billion dollars annually through certain efficiencies recommended by the Connecticut Institute for the 21st Century and the Commission on Enhancing Agency Outcomes.
