AN ACT REQUIRING FOLLOW-UP TREATMENTS FOLLOWING THE ADMINISTRATION OF AN OPIOID ANTAGONIST.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require any person who was administered an opioid antagonist by an emergency medical services provider to make an appointment with a health care provider for follow-up treatment.

Statement of Purpose: 

To help eradicate the opioid epidemic.
