AN ACT TRANSFERRING THE RESPONSIBILITY OF CHILD DAY CARE SERVICES FROM THE OFFICE OF EARLY CHILDHOOD TO THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapters 184c and 319rr of the general statutes be amended to transfer from the Office of Early Childhood to the Department of Social Services the functions relating to child day care services, such as the operation of the child care subsidy program pursuant to section 17b-749 of the general statutes and the administration of the child care development block grant pursuant to section 10-504 of the general statutes.
Statement of Purpose:
To streamline the funding for child day care services.
