AN ACT CONCERNING ESTABLISHMENT OF A FEE FROM MULTICHANNEL VIDEO PROGRAMMING DISTRIBUTORS TO COMPANIES OR ORGANIZATIONS RESPONSIBLE FOR COMMUNITY ACCESS OPERATIONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 16-331a of the general statutes be amended to require the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority to establish the fee that the company or organization responsible for community access operations will receive from multichannel video programming distributors for every customer account served under their multichannel video programming distributor license.

Statement of Purpose: 

To require the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority to establish a fee from multichannel video programming distributors to the companies or organizations responsible for community access operations.
