2424 AN ACT REQUIRING NOTIFICATION OF SUBSTANTIVE AMENDMENTS TO BILLS.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 That the general statutes be amended to require (1) committee members to be provided notice of proposed joint favorable substitute language for a committee or raised bill at least twenty-four hours prior to voting on such bill, and (2) members of the House of Representatives or Senate to be provided with notice of any amendment that substantively changes the underlying bill at least twenty-four hours prior to such bill being presented for a vote on the floor of such chamber.
