524 AN ACT CONCERNING COMMUNITY REENTRY BY PERSONS WHO WERE INCARCERATED.

726 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

928 Section 1. (Effective October 1, 2017) The Commission on Equity and Opportunity shall study and recommend ways to provide (1) persons recently released from correctional facilities with enhanced employment opportunities, and (2) tax incentives to employers who provide employment opportunities to persons recently released from correctional facilities. Not later than January 1, 2018, the commission shall report on such study, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to labor and public employees.
